Car Boot & Marketplace Flipping
What it is
Buying underpriced items at car boots, auctions, charity shops and Marketplace, then selling them on eBay or Facebook where buyers pay properly. It rewards knowing what is worth money: antiques, retro games, tools, trading cards and branded items.

Step by step
- 1
Pick a category you can learn
Retro games, vinyl, tools, Lego, trading cards or vintage kitchenware. Specialise so you know a bargain on sight.
- 2
Check sold prices before you buy
Use eBay's "Sold items" filter on your phone. If you cannot see it sell at least 3 times your cost, walk away.
- 3
Go early and bring cash
The best items go at dawn. Carry small notes, a torch and a bag, and always haggle politely.
- 4
List the same day
Clean the item, photograph it in good light, mention flaws honestly and use the keywords buyers search for.
- 5
Track every item
Log cost, fees, postage and sale price in OddSync Stock so you know your real profit. Selling your own unwanted things is not taxable; buying to resell is, once you pass the £1,000 trading allowance.
