Tree Surgery and Tree Care
What it is
Pruning, reducing and felling trees and clearing the waste for homeowners, landlords and councils. Jobs are quoted per tree, so photos before and after, and the paperwork for each site, are what win work and protect you.

Step by step
- 1
Get qualified
Chainsaw tickets (NPTC or Lantra), aerial rescue for climbing and a first aid certificate are what insurers and customers expect. Never use a chainsaw or climb without them.
- 2
Get insured
Public liability for tree work is specialist cover. Ask for it to include climbing and felling, and keep the certificate where you can show it.
- 3
Check protection before you cut
Trees can be protected by a tree preservation order or a conservation area. Ask the council before any work, save their answer to the job, and never cut without it.
- 4
Quote from photos and a visit
Photograph the tree and the drop zone, note access and power lines, then quote per tree or per day including waste removal. Agree what is and is not included.
- 5
Keep proof of every job
Take before, during and after photos, complete a short risk assessment, and keep both with the invoice. It protects you if a neighbour or insurer asks questions.
